WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING IN THE CENTRAL VANCOUVER ISLAND AREA (NANAIMO, PARKSVILLE, COURTENAY)

Wise Way Security is the single largest Loss Prevention Company (undercover security) in the Mid-Vancouver Island area. We are a 100% locally owned and operated, with many high-end retail clients.
Starting in 2014 WWS has been growing steadily in the central Vancouver Island area including Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Parksville, Ladysmith, Chemainus, Duncan, Courtenay and Campbell River.
WWS hires qualified, honest, and responsible individuals that can reduce risk in retail environments.
The responsibilities for this position are as follows:
1. Arrest and detain shoplifters with a “no touch” approach.
2. Must be able to work four or eight hour shifts with limited supervision.
3. Follow training guidelines and standing orders as directed by the management.
4. Detailed report writing.
5. Have professional communication with local RCMP detachments.
6. Attend court as a professional witness.
6. Be on site on time and ready to work.
7. Communicate with the public to produce compliance.
8. Excellent verbal command of the English language.
9. Be clean and presentable within the definitions of the Policies and Procedures guidelines.
10.This position requires candidates who have completed Basic Security Training,
11. Own a Valid Security Licence,
paid training is provided to all qualified candidates
We are currently looking for Loss Prevention investigators in Nanaimo or Courtenay for Full time 40 hours or Part time positions 12 to 28 hours a week

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in operating CCTV systems
• Experience in loss prevention techniques
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures
• Ability to conduct effective surveillance
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and documentation

  Pay: $20.00-$23.50 per hour

• Secondary School (preferred)

• Security: 1 year (preferred)
