This position is responsible for servicing, installing, maintaining, programming, and inspecting security systems. Ensure that all systems and components are maintained according to industry standards and the operational requirements of the customer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Install and configures security systems and devices, including access control panels, IP cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and building automation controllers required by customer or the Company. Perform network configuration tasks, such as IP addressing, VLAN Setup, and troubleshooting connectivity for security devices. Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs on Brivo, Eagle Eye, Hikvision, Speco, 3xLogic, Alarm.com, and similar platforms. Make connections and required adjustments as directed, test operation of all components of each system. Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for systems design and network infrastructure upon request of management. Maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams, IP schemes, and configuration logs. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management. Communicate with customers and operations team on job status or completion (installation or service). Write service and status reports. Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner. Obtain proper signatures. Accurately record travel and service times, timesheets, identify warranties, changes and code issues and provide accurate descriptions of work completed. Ability to work independently on customer sites Assist technician and apprentice technicians with technical issues as necessary. Responsible for training technicians or apprentices on company procedures. Work with Operations Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs/projects to the client and/or service department. Perform other duties assigned by management. Education/Qualification: A high school education or equivalent required. Technical school or associate degree in electronics, IT, or related field preferred. Mus have a minimum of two years of industry security service experience. Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, PoE technology, and troubleshooting networked devices. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner. Company vehicle is available for this role. Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certifications preferred. Access Control certifications (e.g., Brivo Certified Installer, Lenel or similar) preferred. Video Surveillance certification (e.g., Hikvision Certified Security Associate) preferred. Building Automation or BAS certifications (e.g., Honeywell or Johnson Controls training preferred. OSHA 10/30 safety certification is a plus. Other Duties: Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Maybe required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to walk and stand. Comfortable reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs) and bending. Must be able to verbally communicate via telephone. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
