Employment Type Permanent Closing Date 7 May 2026 11:59pm Job Title Security Analysis - Senior Analyst Job Summary Job Description The Opportunity Sitting within Telstra’s Cyber Security Threat Research and Intelligence Group, this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and high‑impact intelligence challenges. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders, contribute trusted intelligence advice, and support the continuous evolution of Telstra’s OSINT capability in a dynamic security environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead end‑to‑end OSINT taskings across the full intelligence lifecycle. • Proactively identify and assess threats impacting Telstra, customers, or infrastructure. • Conduct in‑depth research and analysis across cybercrime, online threat activity, and emerging risk trends. • Produce high‑quality intelligence reports, briefings, and assessments for operational and executive audiences. • Brief senior leaders on sensitive intelligence matters and support informed decision‑making. • Enhance intelligence capability through improved methodologies, data sources, and tooling. • Mentor analysts and support uplift in intelligence tradecraft and delivery quality. • Represent Telstra’s intelligence capability in trusted engagements with industry or government partners when required. • Operate with discretion, integrity, and sound judgement when handling sensitive intelligence. About You You are a senior intelligence professional with a strong background in open‑source intelligence and strategic analysis. You bring: • 8–12 years’ experience delivering OSINT, cyber intelligence, or strategic intelligence in complex environments. • Strong mastery of the intelligence cycle and ability to independently lead complex intelligence assessments. • Proven experience translating complex intelligence into clear, decision‑ready insights. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level briefing. • Experience mentoring analysts and contributing to capability uplift. • Strong understanding of online threat ecosystems and digital risk environments. • High levels of professionalism, resilience, and integrity when operating in sensitive contexts. • A continuous‑improvement mindset with interest in evolving intelligence methodologies and automation.
