Role: As part of our first line of defense, you will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and responding to security events. This is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates passionate about cybersecurity and eager to build a career in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other security monitoring tools. Perform initial triage and categorization of incidents (L1). Escalate events to senior analysts as needed. Create and manage incident tickets with detailed documentation. Communicate clearly with end users and internal teams during security events. Follow defined incident response procedures and playbooks. Update shift leads and SOC managers regularly on key events and status. Monitor threat intelligence feeds and stay informed on emerging threats. Support observability tools and contribute to improvements in visibility. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and network fundamentals. Familiarity with security tools like SIEMs, firewalls, antivirus, etc. (college or lab experience acceptable). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adapt in a team setting. Ability to work in shifts as part of a 24/7 SOC rotation. Must be a US Citizen. Preferred Skills: Internship or project experience in a cybersecurity-related role. Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence concepts, or security certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+).
