Summary: The Senior Security Analyst – II performs the critical role of monitoring for attempted intrusion, as well as performing security assessments on IT assets. A Security analyst should have a willingness to learn on the job while demonstrating an understanding of malicious indicators of compromise. The ideal candidate will also have strong knowledge of IT technologies like Windows AD, enterprise applications and basic networking principals. Role Requirements: 4 - 8 years of experience in a SOC or information security role Demonstrate an understanding of the threat landscape, malware and vulnerabilities Demonstrate a strong knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI model Analyze phishing emails for malicious attributes Conduct SIEM searches and large data sets for indicators of compromise Analyze PCAPs, IDS, Windows/AD/Security, web server, web proxy and AV logs Conduct vulnerability scans and work with stakeholders on remediation efforts On-call support for responsibilities on-premise during weekdays, and remotely during weekends Technical Writing Experience Management level reports Standard operating procedures documents Formal processes and procedures documents Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred. Industry certifications such as Security+ and Network+ is preferred. 4 - 8 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred. Knowledge of technology and security controls related to the detection, analysis, containment, eradication and recovery from cyber security incidents. Strong knowledge of Windows operating system and associated vulnerabilities Strong verbal and written communication skills
