ARA Technology Services is a member of the ARA group of companies who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security and Communications Technician to join our team in Northgate, Queensland.

This full-time role is essential in supporting the ongoing operations and security of our clients. As a Security and Communications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of security and communication systems. This role issuited to a licensed security technician with strong hands-on experience in CCTV, access control and structured cabling, who enjoys a mix of service work and minor projects.

About the role

Installation, configuration and commissioning of CCTV and access control systems

• Structured cabling for security and data networks

• Fault-finding, maintenance and reactive security service work

• Supporting minor works and small projects

• Configuration and support of IP-based and cloud-managed security platforms

• Participation in rollout programs and delivery of professional onsite service

Skills and Experience

Experience installing and servicing CCTV and access control systems

• Strong understanding of security cabling standards

• IP networking and VMS configuration experience

• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

• Customer-focused with a high standard of workmanship

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Qualifications & Licences (Mandatory)

Current valid Security Licence

• ACMA Open Cabler Registration

• Australian Driver’s Licence

• White Card / OH&S; General Induction

• Australian citizen or permanent resident
