Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. What you’ll do: Responsibilities: Leads multiple project teams of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration. Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development. Technically lead a high-performing software security team responsible for delivering robust, built-in security features for the X10000 platform, ensuring a strong security posture in an enterprise environment. Provide strategic technical and architectural guidance for security-related features, acting as an advisor to the team on complex challenges and ensuring project delivery with high quality and on-time execution across multiple, concurrent initiatives. Designs and develops new features part of periodic firmware release for X10000 family of storage products Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk. Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities. Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization. Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. What you need to bring: Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Working experience of 10+ years with 3+ years in security/storage domain Deep Technical Acumen in Software Systems: Strong background in systems software development (e.g., C/C++/Java) with a proven track record of understanding deeply technical security and architectural details. Prior experience is handling encryption at rest and in transit, is highly desired You are a subject matter expert in Certificate Management, Identity and Access Management Knowledge and Skills: Must have very strong system programming background with C/C++/ Golang for large enterprise class software. A Storage first person is highly desired Delivered features like mTLS, secure DNS, secure file transfer Strong expertise in all phases of a Certificate life cycle for product security Must have proficiency with data structures, algorithms and multi-threaded programming Productizing security standards for storage/system product Must have in-depth knowledge of OS internals, networking, and storage concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior experience handling customer issues/escalations for technology area in your ownership is highly desired. esigning software systems running on multiple platform types. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels. experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages. Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
