Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and prevailing market rates Location: Onsite – Washington, DC (DC Office of the Inspector General) Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. citizen or have an active Green Card. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled consultant to assess enterprise IT and network security architecture, evaluate existing security controls, and recommend improvements to strengthen the District of Columbia OIG’s overall security posture in support of program objectives. Key Responsibilities: * Assess network, system, and infrastructure security architecture * Review firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and monitoring tools * Conduct architecture and configuration reviews * Identify misconfigurations and potential security weaknesses * Support network mapping and vulnerability assessments * Recommend secure architecture improvements Required Qualifications: * Minimum 5 years assessing enterprise IT environments * Experience with network security technologies and system hardening * Strong understanding of infrastructure security controls Preferred Certifications: * CISSP, CCSP, GIAC (GSNA), or equivalent Benefits: Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
