SECURITY ARCHITECT

Our client is looking for a Security Architect with the qualifications listed below:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

There are several project activities underway within the client office, for which there is a need of a consultant with IT Security Architecture and Implementation Analyst Level 3 experience to design, develop and oversee the implementation of network and computer security structures, ensuring security requirements are adequately addressed in all aspects of the infrastructure, and the system supports organizational processes.

Primary Responsibilities: -Design a secure network topology, including segmentation, DMZs, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

• Hybrid cloud network design and implementation including assisting infrastructure team with the client core network firewall design and implementation
• Assess and make recommendations to the current network infrastructure to meet security and performance requirements.
• Help to establish and implement access controls and network security policies
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure security is embedded in all layers of the IT architecture.
• Participate in architecture review boards and provide guidance on security implications for IT projects.
• Conduct threat modeling, security assessments, and gap analyses on network infrastructure and the new Palo Alto firewall.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures that support secure architecture practices.

-Communicate risks, recommendations, and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must Have: -Must have 5 years of experience developing and architecting a comprehensive threat and mitigation framework in relationship to IT systems.

• Must have 5 years of experience as a Senior Security Architect, recommending and addressing a zero trust architecture.
• Must have 5 years of experience developing and documenting internal information technology security procedures (ITSP, and Guidelines based on the 17 family controls in ITSG-33 this includes:
