Responsibilities

As IT Security Architect, you will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and play a key role in defining and enforcing security architecture principles across Vaisala’s IT, digital, and shared platforms. This role balances innovation and business alignment with cyber risk management and regulatory compliance.

You will:

  • Define and maintain enterprise-wide security architecture frameworks across IT and digital domains, including Vaisala’s product ecosystem.
  • Ensure secure design and compliance across cloud services and enterprise platforms (e.g., CRM, ERP).
  • Support the adoption of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps practices within Digital Excellence teams.
  • Conduct threat modeling, cyber risk assessments, and architecture reviews for enterprise and product platforms.
  • Oversee security of cloud, SaaS, hybrid IT, and IoT/OT environments.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to embed security into innovation initiatives.
  • Promote security awareness, training, and compliance across the organization.
