Piper Companies is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to join an organization in Boston, MA. A Security Automation Engineer will build and automate security incident response and workflows while working directly with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SECURITY AUTOMATION ENGINEER:

• 5+ years of experience in Incident Response, SOC, or Blue Team roles
• Proficiency in Python for security automation and scripting and hands-on experience with SOAR platforms and automated security workflows
• Strong communication and client-facing skills, comfortable working with external stakeholders
• Understanding of attack vectors and strong computer science / engineering background

• Design, build and automate security incident response workflow with Python also create advanced security use-cases to test and improve platforms while working directly with clients to field technical requests
• Research threat intelligence and past incidents to enhance AI-driven automation as well as contribute to training AI models by coding IR playbooks that integrate into the RAG-based cybersecurity platform
• Collaborate with R&D teams to shape and improve product features and systems
