Position Summary:
Orlando Health is a 3,200-bed system that includes 15 wholly-owned hospitals and emergency departments; rehabilitation services, cancer institutes, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, physician offices for adults and pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, an in-patient behavioral health facility, home healthcare services in partnership with LHC Group, and urgent care centers in partnership with CareSpot Urgent Care. POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises a shift of Security Officers to provide protection and security of hospital assets and employees, patients and visitors.
Responsibilities:

EDUCATION/TRAINING

High school graduate or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word for report writing purposes.

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years security experience, to include one (1) year supervisory or leadership experience.

and corporate staff.

  • Interprets laws and policies and procedures and communicate interpretation verbally and in writing.
  • Required to manage emotional situations and customers under extreme stress.
  • Supervises training of new officers and on-going training for current officers.
  • Communicates proper information regarding patient or non-patient needs to peers, subordinates, and staff.
  • Performs periodic and semi-annual reviews of subordinates.
  • Will investigate incidents and complete reports.
  • Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state

and local standards.

  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
