Help us secure the internet for our customers As a Security Consultant, serve as the main contact for security services, ensuring seamless integration and support for customers. Provide expert guidance in a dynamic field, implementing innovative solutions that help customers utilize Akamai's security products effectively to meet objectives. As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for: * Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and tuning solutions to meet client needs * Partnering with sales teams internally to fully understand customer business needs in order to ensure their success * Participating on internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving our methodology and quality of solution delivery * Participating in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency, and improving methodology and service quality Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: * Have 2+ years of relevant experience and a High School Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field * Demonstrate experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL and how CDNs work * Have relevant customer facing experience within a consultative environment * Have achieved or be interested in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or others * Demonstrate knowledge of project management concepts and techniques * Have knowledge of implementation concepts that deal with web development, IT systems or security practice Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
