In Denmark the Security Center is extending rapidly, as our services are being requested by our valued current and new customers. You will work in an inspiring highly skilled team with a positive spirit, agile ways of working, and have a leader closely cooperating on a daily basis - enabling you to perform and thrive.
You will be taking part in one or more services like Security Monitoring (SIEM Based), Endpoint Detection and Response, Application Control, Change Control and other security services being delivered from Denmark, providing these services to the public sector and private sector.
In this capacity you will actively work with technical implementation in a dedicated Danish Security Operations Center Level 2/3 Team, which furthermore is doing a lot of security services development work. You will be cooperating with members of the Danish and the Global organization regarding onboarding new security services and customers on various platforms and run the provided services continuously.
Along with technical implementation on Security platforms, this Security Consultant will be handling L2 analytical tasks, using the tools and means being a part of running the services at a highly professional level.

Experience with some security services, like the examples listed below, is a prerequisite:

  • Security Monitoring (SIEM Based)
  • Endpoint Detection and Response
  • Privileged Access Management
  • Vulnerability Scanning & Management
  • Threat Hunting
  • Forensics
  • Application Control and Application Change Control

Primarily working hours are Monday-Friday during daytime and flexible for your convenience. The Level 1 team has eyes on glass 24/7, and hence the Level 2 team, where you will belong, is doing on-call shifts, but it is not necessarily required for you to do on-call shifts.
The position is based in the office of DXC in Valby, Denmark, combined with virtual working.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Professional Cyber and IT security knowledge
  • Proficient understanding of Cyber and IT security risks, threats and prevention measures
  • Good security analysis skills
  • Proficient understanding of security standards and best practices
  • Professional level understanding of network security
  • Professional level knowledge about various operating systems
  • Professional level understanding of network monitoring and protocols
  • Professional level knowledge in one or more technologies/platforms like for example SIEM or EDR.
  • Good knowledge about different networking tools like Wireshark, Snort, Nmap, etc.

Qualifications - Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) required, preferably within IT Security, computer science, engineering or related area of study.
  • 2+ years’ experience with relevant technologies, products and customer environments
Responsibilities
  • Configure, monitor, operate and run various security platform(-s) and ensure their health.
  • Responsible for analyzing and processing security threats to identify the risk and impact for our customers, by carrying out in-depth analysis of the potential threats.
  • Examine the nature of threats that can pose a risk to our valued customers.
  • Act as point of contact for colleagues from other DXC teams.
  • Understand and react on cyber threat information feeds to support our customers to protect their data and businesses.
  • On-call shifts is an option, but not necessarily required for you to do.
  • Document your findings and present them to the DXC and/or customer teams.
