QUALIFICATIONS:
- Health Canada Security Clearance preferred, but not necessary
- Strong knowledge of security systems, technologies, and risk management.
- Understanding of Ontario cannabis regulations and Health Canada security requirements.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain comprehensive security protocols and procedures.
- Implement physical security measures, including the monitoring of surveillance systems, access controls, and perimeter security.
- Conduct routine security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate security operations during all shifts and provide on-the-ground support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial cannabis security regulations (e.g., Health Canada’s Cannabis Act, Ontario’s Cannabis Control Act).
- Work with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure proper incident response protocols are in place.
- Monitor and review security reports, incident logs, and surveillance footage to identify any security threats or breaches.
- Implement corrective actions to address identified risks and improve security measures.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, compliance, and management) to ensure security practices align with overall business objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security technology, trends, and best practices, especially as they relate to the cannabis industry.
- Participation in health and safety committee if required.
