About the role Ares Technology Consultants is seeking a Security Designer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for driving production efficiency within our design team, which includes professional designers and project managers. The Security Designer will support the overall Design Department in delivering high-quality, mission-critical projects. What you'll do Responsible for all aspects of Security design process for assigned projects. Each project shall be managed to agreed project specific scope of work (SOW). Deliverable Schedule Supporting design team members to effectively perform their duties. Successful delivery of assigned Security projects. Be able to use Bluebeam to do markups and gather markup information from team members. Attend project meetings with design team members. Quality Control for the output of design document(s) and project deliverables. Respond to RFI(s) and RFQ(s) as required per project. Perform site walk(s)/visit(s) as required. Attend/Schedule weekly project meetings as required by project. Attending project meetings with the team to review progress and deadlines. Attend BIM Coordination Meetings for different projects as needed. BIM Coordination with MEP trades and our models. Assist on creating BIM Execution Plans when needed. BIM Document management (models, coordination, families, etc). Work with live and local Revit models. Work with-in CAD when needed. Assist on implementing Designer and Project Manager designs in Revit format. Assist other team members when needed to complete projects & have productive communication with all team members. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience designing electronic security and surveillance systems, including intrusion detection systems ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification (preferred) Experience in hyperscale data center environments and familiarity with construction processes Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Strong communication and leadership skills Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset Willingness to work flexible hours and travel occasionally based on project needs Manufacturer certifications preferred: HID, Lenel, Axis, FLIR, Hanwha, Pelco, Bosch, Quanergy, Genetec, Assa Abloy
Responsibilities
The Security Designer is responsible for all aspects of the security design process for assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery and quality control of design documents. They will also support the design team and attend project meetings to review progress and deadlines.
