Description:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
We are looking for team members who are curious and critical thinkers, who enjoy digging deeper into problems and always questioning the “why.” Excellent communications skills are important in this role, you need to be able to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
In addition, you have:
- Proven experience as a Network Security Specialist (or similar role)
- Experience in managing and supporting Check Point firewalls and Blue Coat proxy solutions and troubleshooting network issues, dynamic routing and related technologies
- Knowledge of VMware’s NSX-T software-defined infrastructure (SDI).
YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the competencies and skills for the position. We are ideally seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another related discipline and 4+ years of relevant experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will help build, deliver, maintain, and improve the Bank’s firewalls and web proxy technologies. You will implement, maintain, enhance, and integrate all aspects of the Bank’s technology firewalls and web proxy solutions. You will also support testing of new integrations for infrastructure and security across on-premises and Cloud technologies.
More specifically, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish requirements and priorities for firewalls and web proxy rules
- Provide development, implementation, and support services for the automation and scripting of rule implementation
- Develop and improve deployment and operations support documentation
- Assist with security incidents, investigations, root-cause analysis and support real-time tools development to ensure firewalls and web proxy solutions are working as expected
- Maintain productive relationship with vendors to ensure continued support and value for the Bank
Note - The nature of this work will require additional paid on-call as well as paid overtime. The Bank offers flexible work hours to accommodate.
