Description Job Description: Security Dispatcher Department: Security Property: Louisiana Downs Casino & Racetrack Reports To: Security Shift Supervisor Position Summary The Security Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating all security communications and operations through the dispatch center. This role serves as the central point of contact for security personnel, ensuring timely response to incidents, proper documentation, and efficient communication across all departments. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security, and operational integrity of Louisiana Downs Casino & Racetrack. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor all radio traffic and maintain clear, professional communication with security staff and other departments. Dispatch Security Officers to incidents, calls for service, and routine assignments. Maintain continuous surveillance of CCTV systems and report suspicious or unusual activity. Accurately log all incidents, activities, and communications in dispatch systems and reports. Answer incoming calls, including emergency and non-emergency requests, and route appropriately. Coordinate emergency response procedures, including contacting local law enforcement, fire, or medical services when required. Track officer locations and status to ensure adequate coverage across the property. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and security operations. Assist in preparing incident reports and documentation for management review. Ensure compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, and property procedures. Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or procedural concerns to leadership immediately. Requirements Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Previous dispatch, security, or communications experience preferred (casino or hospitality environment a plus). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. Basic computer proficiency, including report writing and surveillance systems. Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Must be able to sit for extended periods while monitoring multiple systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional standing, walking, or assisting with on-floor operations as needed. Compliance & Licensing Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Louisiana Gaming licenses. Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Minimizes personal distractions, including excessive phone usage, to ensure full attention to dispatch responsibilities.
