Description

As a security engineer at Floryn, you’re joining us in building a fintech company which provides fast and easy access to credit for small and medium sized businesses. We’re somewhat like a bank, but without the bureaucracy and the white collars. You’ll be working at a landscape of applications that is responsible for wiring millions of euros, daily, directly into our customer’s bank accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in being hands-on in the security domain, not just talking, but doing
  • Experience and security expertise working with AWS
  • Knowledge in network security and secure engineering processes
  • Experience assessing vulnerabilities and implementing solutions
  • Worked with security tools that are commonly used for managing security in an organization
  • Understanding of encryption algorithms and different implementations
Responsibilities

You’ll be the first security specialist within our existing technology team of 20+ people and offer security guidance to them when building new products or features. This can be in the form of design reviews, audits, tests or by analyzing our applications yourself.

  • Identify (potential) security vulnerabilities or design flaws in the areas of cloud security, infrastructure, data, applications or payments by thinking like an attacker and defender.
  • Help the compliance department to make sure we adhere to all regulatory requirements that concern IT security. Help with performing external audits and focusing on rectifying the issues highlighted in reports.
  • Introduce new solutions that improve our security posture and help with implementation, either by working with a vendor, our own engineering team, or the infrastructure team, or by developing solutions yourself.
