The Security Engineer III is a key member of the global cybersecurity team, responsible for protecting critical systems and data by identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. This role involves collaborating across technical and business teams to ensure timely containment, remediation, and prevention of threats. You will leverage threat analytics, automation, and security tools to investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement solutions. The position balances proactive threat detection with reactive incident management, contributing to a secure and resilient technology environment. This is a hybrid role requiring periodic presence in the Philadelphia Tech Hub and offers opportunities to work in a mission-driven, globally impactful organization. Accountabilities Analyze, triage, and scope security incidents to determine indicators of attack and compromise. Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with security and consulting teams to contain and remediate threats. Investigate root causes of complex security events and provide actionable guidance for mitigation. Develop, document, and maintain runbooks, incident response techniques, and operational playbooks. Perform security triage and analysis across endpoints, servers, and network infrastructure. Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to inform proactive defense strategies. Maintain high levels of confidentiality and compliance with security policies and regulations. Experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related technical field. Demonstrated ability to analyze, triage, contain, and remediate security incidents effectively. Strong knowledge of security technologies, tools, processes, and threat analytics. Experience with cloud platforms (multi-cloud or hybrid), networking, and cloud security practices. Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, Java, or similar languages. Administration experience in Linux, Mac, and network or systems environments. Experience supporting large-scale, distributed enterprise systems. Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, SANS, GIAC, ethical hacking, penetration testing, or security risk assessment. Competitive U.S. base pay range: $70,200 – $117,100, plus eligibility for annual incentive bonus.
