The Security Engineer Lead will play a key role in safeguarding both Celigo’s corporate environment and our iPaaS product platform. This individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing security solutions to protect against threats and vulnerabilities, while proactively identifying and reducing risks. The ideal candidate thrives in both independent and collaborative environments and takes ownership of projects from conception through completion.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate security and compliance concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and partners.
  • Deep knowledge of information security principles, protocols, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS security services (e.g., GuardDuty, Security Hub).
  • Experience with vulnerability management and cloud security tools (e.g., Qualys, CSPM).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across teams and interface directly with customers when needed.
  • High attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in information security.
  • 2+ years of experience working at an enterprise SaaS company with multi-tenant and/or multi-product architecture.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining security systems.
  • Hands-on experience with network and firewall technologies.
  • Practical experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation.
  • Experience implementing, managing, and reporting on SOC 2 Type II controls.
  • Familiarity with multiple security and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Security experience in cloud environments (AWS)
  • Preferred: Risk assessment background, and vendor risk management/assessment.
    Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $90,000 and $135,000 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, benefits, or other perks as outlined in any formal employment offer made.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as an information security subject matter expert and technical resource for IT, Engineering, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure that all system implementations conform to Celigo’s security standards and industry best practices.
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize the security toolset to maximize effectiveness.
  • Continuously measure and report on the effectiveness of security tools and processes.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide security requirements, guidelines, and education to development and engineering teams.
  • Analyze logs from intrusion detection, anti-malware, and related security systems.
  • Monitor industry alerts and threat intelligence feeds to assess and respond to emerging risks.
  • Contribute to security awareness and training programs for employees.
  • Actively participate in the Security Incident Response Team, leading analysis and evidence collection.
  • Develop and maintain security runbooks for monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
