WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You’ll work as part of the Network Engineering team and provide operational support to the network security architecture. You’ll have a good understanding of IP network architectures and Security and work well as part of a team. Whilst the role is office working hours you will need to be on a rota for emergency OOH support. At times travel will be required to go to the customer’s sites which are in Warwickshire and Wokingham or to data centres throughout the UK.

SOME OF YOUR DUTIES WILL BE

• You’ll be providing technical support for network security infrastructure.
• You’ll be monitoring network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• You’ll troubleshoot complex networking issues that may involve multiple systems and layers of infrastructure.
• You’ll be performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• We’ll need you to be involved in the planning, design, and implementation of network security measures to protect systems and data.
• Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security protocols into network architecture and operations.
• Be involved in the deployment and maintenance of network security devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
• Act on to and recover from security incidents, including conducting post-event analyses to prevent future incidents.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, as well as advancements in network security technologies.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for network access, monitoring, and security incident response.
