Job Title: Security Engineer
Reports to: Technical Services Operations Manager
Department: Service Department
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join our growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical security support and guidance to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will help monitor, manage, and respond to security events, implement client security controls, and provide proactive recommendations to strengthen their security posture.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technical cybersecurity role, preferably within an MSP or multi-client environment.
· Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, AV, firewalls, vulnerability scanners).
· Solid understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
· Familiarity with incident response processes and log analysis.
· Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
· Strong communication and customer service skills, especially in client-facing situations.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDATIONS:

· BA/BS, preferably in computer science or a related field.
· Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, CISSP, GSEC, or equivalent.
· Experience with managed security platforms and RMM tools.
· Scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) a plus.
· Understanding compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2.

Responsibilities

· Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to continuously improve service offerings.
