IT WOULD BE FANTASTIC IF YOU HAVE THESE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:



    • Security/Kubernetes certifications, for example, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).

    • Red teaming experience, particularly in regards to cloud or AWS environments.
    • Experience with Kubernetes runtime security tooling such as Falco or Sysdig.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Q-CTRL Platform has grown rapidly; from a single product running as a single container to a growing list of products in a highly distributed Kubernetes environment. New and exciting customer opportunities are seeing this stack evolve further; including on-premise and hybrid architectures as well as full-stack solutions embedded on the edge.
    Q-CTRL faces a diverse and dynamic security landscape which is shaped by industry, customer, and compliance requirements. The Q-CTRL Infrastructure team is expanding to bring on a Security Engineer with a focus on designing, implementing and maintaining security systems in order to fulfil the Q-CTRL Security Objectives.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:



      • Reporting to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure, you’ll play a key role in building security systems that ensure we deliver the highest security standards for Q-CTRL products and maintain the trust our customers place in us.

      • Strengthening the security of the Q-CTRL Platform through contribution to key systems like cloud networking, Zero Trust Network architectures, and firewalls.
      • Consistently upholding compliance with security frameworks and customer engagements through the improvement of systems and processes. This includes access control mechanisms, data management and security guardrails.
      • Applying knowledge in Forensics & Incident Response and champion the Incident Response process to triage incidents and raise alerts based on observability.
      • Maintaining our vulnerability management systems in order to improve key security metrics for Q-CTRL.
      • Other duties within the Employee’s skills and experience, or with reasonable training.
