We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technology team in Perth and are currently looking for a Security Engineer to join the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Design and implement security features across systems and applications, ensuring security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct security assessments, including threat modelling, secure code reviews, and vulnerability analysis to identify and mitigate potential application security risks.
• Support incident response efforts, helping detect, analyse, and respond to product security incidents in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Participate in security architecture and design reviews, providing expert input to engineering teams on best practices and secure implementation.
• Report on security metrics, delivering insights into vulnerabilities, threats, and risk trends to drive continuous improvement in product security.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

• Proven knowledge of web application security concepts and cloud security best practices, with a strong emphasis on AWS. Experience with other cloud platforms and Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript (Kotlin advantageous) and contemporary software engineering practices, including CI/CD, observability, and containerisation.
• Experience in developing internal tooling and performing security-focused engineering tasks.
