About the Role As a Security Engineer specializing in Vulnerability Management, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Cyncly’s digital assets. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing vulnerabilities across our global infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that vulnerabilities are remediated in a timely and effective manner, and that our security posture remains robust against emerging threats. This role offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement in vulnerability management processes and directly impact the resilience of our digital environment. Key Position Responsibilities Include: Lead the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle: identification, assessment, prioritization, remediation, and reporting. Deploy, configure, and optimize vulnerability scanning tools across cloud and on-premises environments. Analyze scan results, validate findings, and coordinate with IT and development teams to ensure timely remediation. Track and report on vulnerability metrics, trends, and remediation progress to management and stakeholders. Collaborate with security operations, IT, and application teams to integrate vulnerability management into broader security and DevOps processes. Assess and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk, business impact, and threat intelligence. Assist in the development of vulnerability management policies, standards, and procedures. Stay current on emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, and industry best practices. Support incident response activities related to vulnerability exploitation. Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives as required. Promote a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement. Required Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 4+ years of experience in vulnerability management, information security, or IT operations. Strong understanding of vulnerability management frameworks, tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7), and processes. Experience with vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation in cloud and on-premises environments. Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. Knowledge of risk assessment, threat modeling, and incident response. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Core Competencies: Vulnerability scanning and assessment. Remediation coordination and tracking. Risk-based prioritization. Familiarity with security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners).
