JOB DESCRIPTION

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guard in London, Ontario.
Job Title: Security Professional
Job Location: London, ON
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $ 20.22 per hour
Shifts: Rotational shifts, Monday to Fridays and Weekends are required, 12 hour shifts (full-availability is an asset)

Requirement:

  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm
  • Experience with report writing and note-taking.
  • Knowledge of CCTV and radio monitoring systems.
  • Valid Ontario security guard license and Driving License.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week if required.
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Technology and computer literacy an asset

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

  • Access control for the facility/area
  • Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
  • Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
  • Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
  • Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
  • Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate/monitor security room equipment, CCTV Cameras, Radio, etc - Completion of site required training
  • Experience in Security Escort, strike events, etc.
  • De-escale confrontational situations following the “hands off” company policy
