Job Title: Security Professional
Location: Various locations in Calgary
Job Type: Full-Time and Part time
Shifts : Overnight Shifts
Pay Rate : 16.80 $ per hour
Overview:
Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals to provide professional, front-line security services for a prestigious financial institution across Calgary. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in corporate security.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Have at least 1 year of security experience
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Licensing requirements are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employment.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

Responsibilities
  • Present a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times
  • Incident response, patrols and inspections of space and equipment
  • Liaise with the Corporate security program to compound incident response
  • Record activities and incidents via security tours
  • Walk-safe program for employees working after hours
  • Cross-training in other security positions as required (e.g. card holder administration assistance).
  • Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to de-escalate
  • Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
