What You'll Do: Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Control access at entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, verifying authorizations, screening visitors and/or contractors and directing traffic and deliveries per site requirements. Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, maintain required armed post qualifications, and handle issued equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site directives. Minimum Requirements: A concealed carry weapons permit is required. At least 6+ months of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card and/or license is required. Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
