Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Security Guard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and protecting our premises, responding to alarms, and patrolling the grounds. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. We are looking for someone who is committed to safety and security and who can provide a secure environment for our staff and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain order and enforce laws on the premises.
  • Patrol the premises to detect any suspicious activity.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Must hold a valid Security Guard license issued by the Private Securities & Investigative Services Act
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (6 or more hours).
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes, WHMIS
Detect, challenge and displace unwanted people
Promote safety and adhere to client site emergency procedures
On-site First Aid responder until expert medical help arrives
Recording and maintaining logbooks of daily activities
Follow up with daily documentation in your memo book; inputting notes and incident reports as required.
Required skills & Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Security Guard license issued by the Private Securities & Investigative Services Act
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (6 or more hours).

Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes, WHMIS
Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills; including conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, situational assessment and communication skills
Previous security guard experience of one 1-2 year
willing to travel Hamilton or Hamilton guard only
Able to work in all weather conditions
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Responsibilities include:
Be visible to the public as they enter the premises
Acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store
Strong interpersonal communication; good command of the English language
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, customers, contractors and visitors of client’s property
Perform routine property patrols and respond to fire alarms
Detect, challenge and displace unwanted people
Promote safety and adhere to client site emergency procedures

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
