Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 07:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 07:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 07:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 07:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location serving vulnerable populations. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance issues, and policy violations. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and help support orderly movement of staff, residents, guests, and/or service providers. Assist with de-escalation, follow post orders and incident protocols, and communicate with public agencies and/or first responders when situations require additional support. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required. Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
