Description

* Daily Care: Provide daily care to dogs, including feeding, administering medication (if required), and ensuring they have access to clean water. * Exercise and Stimulation: Take dogs for walks, supervise playtime, and ensure they are physically and mentally stimulated in a safe and controlled environment. * Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of dog kennels, play areas, and general facilities. Regularly clean and disinfect kennels, bedding, bowls, and toys to ensure a hygienic environment. Ensure no kennels are soiled and odors are not apparent. * Health Monitoring: Observe dogs’ appearance and activities for general physical condition and any signs of illness or distress. Notify management if any medical or behavioral concerns arise. * Grooming Assistance: Assist with grooming as necessary, including bathing, brushing coats, trimming nails, and cleaning ears. * Safety Compliance: Comply with all safety procedures while working in the kennels, with special emphasis on animal handling and proper use of cleaning chemicals. * Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of dog care, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications administered, and any incidents or behavioral issues. * Security: Ensure the safety of all animals by maintaining secure enclosures and preventing escapes. Be alert to any potential hazards, both physical and behavioral. * Performs other reasonable duties that may be requested by management. * The Company operates a twenty-four (24), hour, seven (7) days a week business. Therefore, it may be necessary to change the accustomed shifts, at times, as the business demands. Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Prior experience working with animals preferred * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously * Must have an affection, understanding and compassion for dogs Excellent oral and written communication skill

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily care, hygiene, and physical stimulation of patrol and detection dogs. This includes feeding, health monitoring, and maintaining secure kennel environments to ensure animal well-being.
