INTRODUCTION:
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.
We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, secure, and protective environment within your scope of responsibilities
- Conduct yourself in a professional, dignified, and courteous manner at all times when on duty and in uniform
- Provide a high level of service to the staff, faculty, students, visitors, contractors
- Reliably and regularly perform your duties to the best of your abilities
- Prevent physical altercations to the best of your abilities, utilizing the support from the client staff
- Ensure your uniform meets Commissionaires standards, including cleanliness and completeness of uniform
- Interact with students, providing a safe resource for them to interact with during school hours
- Write shift reports as necessary, and utilize Commissionaires report writing methods to create and submit incidents
- Patrol school grounds, including hallways, cafeteria, washrooms, parking lots
- Enforce the no-smoking policy
- Enforce parking control per directions from client
- Assist in bringing students to administration when requested
