Security Officer - Luxury Retail Location: Miami, FL 33137 (in-person) Pay: From $26/hour Position Type: Full-Time Shift time: 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM About the Role We are seeking a professional and composed Security Officer to support a high-profile luxury retail environment in Miami. This role requires a strong presence, sound judgment, and the ability to balance security awareness with a refined guest experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing high foot traffic, understands access control and crowd dynamics, and can operate confidently in a visible, client-facing role where discretion and professionalism are essential. Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional, welcoming, and authoritative presence Greet and guide guests while supporting a calm, orderly environment Monitor entry and exit points and manage access as appropriate Observe and manage crowd flow during peak periods Provide clear direction and support during busy hours or special activations Receive and track deliveries, packages, and high-value items Identify and discreetly address suspicious or disruptive behavior De-escalate tense situations using calm, respectful communication Communicate effectively with store leadership regarding incidents or concerns Maintain confidentiality regarding clientele, staff, and internal operations Uphold grooming, uniform, and conduct standards consistent with a luxury setting Provide on-site leadership and oversight when needed, ensuring standards and expectations are consistently met Qualifications Valid Florida Class D Security License (required) Minimum 5+ years of supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, military, corrections, or related field (required) Prior experience in law enforcement, military, corrections, security, or door/crowd control strongly preferred Experience managing entry control or high-volume guest environments is a plus Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills Excellent communication and conflict de-escalation abilities Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional under pressure Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality Compensation & Benefits From $26/hour Paid sick time Full-time, consistent schedule Professional, structured work environment Additional Details Standing and active monitoring required for extended periods Position is in-person at a Miami luxury retail location Consistent availability for the posted schedule is required
