Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is looking for part time Security Guards, working noon to 8:00 p.m. or midnight to 8:00 a.m., throughout the week. The Role As a Security Guard, you’ll be the first line of defense in protecting our people, property, and assets. You’ll provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff, respond quickly to incidents, and ensure all safety and security procedures are followed in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. What You’ll Do 1. Safeguard Guests & Staff – Ensure a safe, secure, and positive environment throughout the casino and racetrack. 2. Protect Assets – Monitor and escort cash/chip transfers, protecting company property in line with AGLC and casino policies. 3. Respond to Emergencies – Act quickly and effectively during medical, security, or safety incidents. 4. Investigate & Report – Document incidents, collect evidence, and maintain accurate records. 5. Patrol & Monitor – Conduct preventative patrols and monitor activities to prevent risks or policy violations. 6. Support Law & Regulators – Work with AGLC inspectors and follow all federal, provincial, and local laws. 7. Deliver Great Service – Provide professional, friendly, and courteous assistance to guests and team members. 8. Communicate Effectively – Use radios and reporting systems to coordinate with the team and respond to calls. 9. Stay Alert & Professional – Remain vigilant at your post, following procedures and exercising good judgment. 10. Team Player – Support supervisors, colleagues, and contribute to a safe, respectful workplace. What We’re Looking For Experience: Gaming-related experience preferred but not essential. One (1) or more years of recent and related experience in security enforcement is desirable. Skills: * Organizational and time management skills * Analytical ability and critical thinking * Strong communication skills (oral & written) * Ability to work independently with limited supervision Education: High school diploma (or equivalent). A combination of education and experience may be considered. Certifications/Licenses: * Valid and current AGLC license (must be acquired before hire date) * Standard First Aid Level C with AED * Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License * Must pass a criminal background check Schedule (Part Time) * 8-hour shifts (noon - 8:00pm or midnight - 8:00am) * Weekday and weekend availability required * Flexibility to vocer shifts as needed is an asset Why Join Us?
