Job Description The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This includes monitoring premises, controlling access, responding to incidents, and enforcing security procedures. Key Responsibilities Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, vandalism, or safety hazards Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles Verify identification and issue visitor passes Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms Write clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports Enforce company policies, safety rules, and security procedures Assist in emergency situations such as fire, medical incidents, or evacuations Provide customer service by giving directions and assisting visitors when needed Report suspicious activities or unsafe conditions to management or authorities Qualifications Qualifications Proven experience as a security guard or in a related role preferred Knowledge of security operations and emergency procedures Ability to stay alert and calm under pressure Good communication and observation skills Basic computer skills for reporting and monitoring systems Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods Required Skills Attention to detail Integrity and professionalism Conflict management and problem-solving Teamwork and reliability Ability to follow instructions and procedures Working Conditions May require working nights, weekends, and holidays Indoor and outdoor duties Standing, walking, and monitoring for long periods Additional Information Special requirements Undertake such additional duties which may from time to time be required.
