As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol terminals, checkpoints, and surrounding areas, completing routine rounds and staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to requests for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with travelers, staff, and public partners. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to all visitors and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with airport operations and local emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter zones, and other assigned areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as directed, and report suspicious or prohibited activity according to post orders. Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, maintain awareness of changing conditions, and assist with crowd control and/or passenger guidance during peak travel periods. Minimum Requirements: Be 21+ years of age. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
