The K-9 Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for all persons on premises by working closely with their assigned shift, conducting K-9 patrols, responding to calls and documenting incidents. Performs all functions of a patrol Security officer. Investigates and makes recommendations for safety enhancements for the hospital campus and staff. Maintains health and welfare of K-9 dog, on a 24 x 7 basis. This position will require flexibility of hours. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement or military required. Experience in hospital security and/or K-9 operations are preferred. Basic K-9 Handler Agitator Course preferred. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Current California (CA) driver’s license. Must be insurable under Huntington's liability insurance. Responsibilities
