Description Position Summary The Security Lead is responsible for assisting the on-duty Security Supervisor as directed and is required to fill in as needed for the Shift Supervisor. As a Lead, you are also required to train new personnel and ensure they meet departmental standards for a Security Officer. Essential Functions Ability to perform and meet all expectations and job functions of a Security Officer employed by Chinook Winds Security Department. Manages aspects of daily operations as directed by the Security Supervisor. Maintains effective communication within the team and attends meetings and training sessions when required. May be required to remove and reinstall cash boxes. Provides enforcement to Chinook Winds policies, NIGC, Tribal Internal Controls, State Compact, and Minimum Internal Controls. Identifies and reports issues regarding the integrity of operations in relation to any and all departments within Chinook Winds to the Security Shift Supervisor and other members of the management team as appropriate. Provides input or recommendations for improving work procedures and worker performance to the Security Shift Supervisor to increase service quality, efficiency, and enhance job safety. When filling in for the Shift Supervisor, will be required to review investigations and reports submitted by staff members, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to the distribution to Management. Identifies and reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions. Primarily floor Officer role, filling in as a supervisor as necessary. Stays current on all other department P&P’s including any changes or amendments. Is a strong supporter of CWCR’s Customer Service standards and Core Values. Develops and maintains a teamwork environment. Works with members of the Leadership Team in identifying training opportunities. Investigates complaints/concerns from guests/employees. Analyzes various situations and resolves them ensuring compliance with Chinook Winds policies and procedures. When filling in as a Shift Supervisor, communicates directly with various law enforcement agencies and members of management from various departments on behalf of the security department. Resolve customer complaints as needed. Works with members of the Leadership Team in identifying training opportunities. Provides mentoring and guidance to new hires. Provides detailed instruction and ensures understanding of departmental policies and procedures. Provides detailed instruction and ensures understanding of all Security Department related functions. Maintains effective communication with both the trainee and members of the Leadership Team. Maintains documentation in accordance with departmental standards on the progress of the trainee. Emphasizes and instills Company Core Values with each trainee. All other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Security Director. Education High School Diploma or GED. Associates or higher preferred. Experience One year of Chinook Winds Security experience. Computer Skills Microsoft Office Word and Excel intermediate required. Basic outlook experience preferred. Certificates & Licenses Valid Oregon Driver’s license. Siletz Tribal Gaming License. Other Requirements CPR Certified. Knowledge of job specific information. Must be flexible with schedule. Demonstrated ability in conducting confidential investigations of sensitive materials and matters. Flexibility to handle changing priorities, schedules, and possess excellent time management skills. Must possess an advanced knowledge of Security Department Policies and other regulations pertaining to the Security Department.
