The Position: Assists the Shift Supervisor in managing Security activities for an assigned shift to protect the guests, employees and the physical and financial assets of Seven Feathers Casino Resort. Provides a secondary resource for questions in the event the Shift Supervisor is tied up with other issues. Duties include but are not limited to: Schedules and delegates work to appropriately staff Security operations. Directs workflow, and oversees daily operational issues. While they may assist in scheduling they will not be responsible for time and attendance records. Provides guidance and direction to the staff and makes recommendations to the Supervisor regarding developing employees. Ensures that proper procedures, policies, laws, and internal controls are followed. Maintains current and comprehensive knowledge of policy and procedures and internal controls relative to the operations of the Security department. Responds to, and when possible, resolves Security issues involving employees or guests. Experience preferred as a Security Officer II at Seven Feathers Security Department or the equivalent in a comparable Casino Security environment. Familiarity with Defensive Tactics. Administrative/clerical experience preferred. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred. Analytical and mathematical skills preferred. Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Excellent service approach when dealing with guests. Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks. 21 years of age or older. Must obtain an OLCC permit within first 90 days of employment. Current and valid Oregon Drivers License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC Drivers Program.
