Description The Security Manager is responsible for the overall safety, security, and operational integrity of the casino property. This role oversees all security operations and manages the Porter team to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and vendors. The Security Manager leads by example, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, internal policies, and applicable laws while promoting exceptional guest service. Security Operations Manage and oversee daily casino security operations, including patrols, access control, and Guest/Team Members injury response. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies. Respond to and investigate security incidents, disturbances, theft, accidents, and emergencies; prepare detailed reports and recommendations. Collaborate with Surveillance, Executive Team, HR, and local law enforcement as needed. Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and safety procedures. Conduct regular security risk assessments and recommend improvements to policies, staffing, and physical security measures. Porter Management Directly manages the Porter team alongside the Porter Supervisor and Lead, responsible for cleanliness, trash removal, restroom upkeep, and general property appearance. Schedule, train, coach, and evaluate porters to ensure consistent standards and coverage across all shifts. Ensure porters follow safety protocols, OSHA standards, and proper handling of cleaning equipment and materials. Leadership & Administration Recruit, train, and develop security officers and porters, including onboarding, performance management, and progressive discipline. Prepare schedules, manage labor costs, and ensure adequate staffing levels. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and drills to maintain readiness and compliance. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to security incidents, staffing, and training. Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and guest-focused service. Requirements Qualifications Required Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in casino security, hospitality security, or a similar high-volume environment. At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience. Working knowledge of casino operations, gaming regulations, and internal controls. Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations. Proficiency in report writing and basic computer applications. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergencies. Nevada Gaming Registration, or the ability to obtain a registration card before hire. Preferred Prior experience managing facilities, janitorial, or porter teams. Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control technologies.
