Description

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and minimum 10 years of experience in a security operations environment. Proven experience managing security in high-risk countries and/or hostile environments, ideally in West Africa. Strong background in crisis management, security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and security investigations. Working knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001), and competence across information, physical, personnel security, business continuity and privacy. Excellent command of English and French (verbal and written). Well-developed professional network and understanding of local geopolitical/security context. Membership of professional security forums is a plus. Ability to clearly describe complex security risks and mitigation strategies in executive-ready terms. Personal qualities: integrity, reliability, resilience under pressure, innovation, flexibility, strong networking, and a proactive “decide and act” mindset.
