FILINVEST COMPANY: Grafik Pinehouse Baguio City POSITION SUMMARY: In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality and Grafik Pinehouse Baguio, As the Security & Safety Manager, your role is to oversee the safety and security of guests, employees, and assets, ensuring a secure and safe environment while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. Your leadership and strategic planning contribute to the establishments reputation for providing a safe and memorable experience, reinforcing its commitment to excellence and refinement. As the hotels appointed safety officer, you will collaborate with the different departments and their leaders to ensure that our hotel and workspaces are free from any occupational hazard or threat. You will also be leading the team during critical or emergency situation. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Sound Judgment and Decision Making - The ability to arrive at a verdict using informed judgment and decision Able to make senior management decision on highly sensational cases Able to perform and act as the key adviser for security, crises, and emergency situations Creates ethical directives within the organization that automates the decision-making of disciplinary action Has the ability to recommend and approve recommendation on matters pertaining to incident management handling. 2. Customer Service and Value Driven - The ability to reflect property values service in the context of security You will consider and take in perspective/s of other departments for effective execution of policies and procedures of security. Considers and respects the view and experience of other people to improve security procedures. Approves/creates procedures based on the Chroma's guest experience guidelines and standards. 3. Emergency Readiness and Resilience - The capacity to recover and execute security procedures in case of emergencies Function as CMT adviser Conducts regular review of IAP/CMT organization as well as EPRP Conducts regular audit of existing IAT program and recommends appropriate improvement and development of people in terms of emergency readiness & preparedness. Executes exceptionally sound and firm judgments during organic emergency situations Initiates periodic drills to ensure that hotel Executives and associates are aware of their roles during and emergency situation. 4. Public Safety and Security - The ability to understand basic security information and practice protective security strategies in a quick manner. Abreast on national and local security issues that is of common interest to the industry Provide updates and brief the higher management on national issues pertaining to security especially where terrorism, anti-government rallies and other forms of criminalities are concerned Further assess and evaluates security set-up, business continuity programs, security technology, processes and procedures Ensures properties are align with the plans and programs of the security and safety based on the interest of the organization Conducts periodic risk assessment and review of the current security set up and capabilities Collaborate with department managers to determine the security and safety requirements 5. Financial Acumen - Ability to perform cost-saving strategies relevant to the department You must be able to have a strong grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Through data analysis, you must be able to provide recommendations on how hotel/department may be able to achieve budget revenue and costs. 6. Chain of Command and Responsibility - The ability to follow and pass on messages and responsibilities in an agile fashion Establish good rapport with government agencies and law enforcement authorities Determine training needs in preparation of training modules and lesson plans in terms of improving security's chain of command Setup continuing training program for the members of IAT/CMT Communicates regular status of operation and update to leaders and stakeholders Develops and shows other department the regulatory corporate communication to interconnect in managing crisis 7. Other Duties COMPANY POLICIES and PROCEDURES: Adheres to the provisions outlined in the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Code and Rules and Regulations. ATTENDANCE: Adheres to the set procedures for attendance and timekeeping. COMMUNICATIONS: Attends meetings as required. LOST and FOUND: Fully aware of and comply with Lost and Found procedures at all times. EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Possesses full knowledge of emergency procedures and ensures all staff are aware them at all times. GROOMING and HYGIENE: Adheres to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the Resort. ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: Is fully aware of and complies with the Resorts Environmental Policy and established rules and guidelines. GUIDING PRINCIPLES: Practices the Guiding Principles in day-to-day interaction Performs such other functions as may be delegated by management from time to time. 8. General Responsibilities Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Resort policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative database for improved Management decision-making and critical evaluation of work activities. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other Resort employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. At all times, projects a favorable image of GRa to the public. -Performs any other duties and tasks that may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Military Science, or any related field. A minimum of 10 years' experience in Security management Ideally, with min of 3 years middle manager/supervisory position Knowledge, familiarity and connection with different law enforcement, government and related agencies.
