Description Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Security Manager in Falls Church, VA, with occasional travel to other performance locations. *This position is contingent upon the award of a federal contract. Performance will predominantly occur at the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ), supporting the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, with additional locations near Portsmouth, VA; Jacksonville, FL; San Diego, CA; Camp Pendleton/Oceanside, CA; and Los Alamitos, CA. Work is expected to follow a 60/40 split between Government and Contractor sites at DHHQ, with remote work opportunities available subject to Government approval. Key Responsibilities: Maintain knowledge of Office of Personnel Management (OPM) suitability and fitness standards, as well as information and industrial security policies within federal or DoD environments. Develop suitability and fitness policies and manage compliance programs. Perform and support DoD/OPM suitability adjudication activities. Complete OPM Fundamentals of Suitability for Suitability and Fitness Adjudicators course within the last 3 years or enroll within 60 days upon onboarding. Apply familiarity with DoD childcare background check policies. Draft, review, and revise policies, SOPs, CONOPS, and implementation plans. Support DoD interagency coordination, policy development, and execution of action officer responsibilities. Manage databases and generate reports to support program oversight and decision-making. Coordinate meeting documentation, including minutes, action tracking, and partner engagement materials. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Emergency Management, Security Studies, Public Policy, or related discipline). Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience; OR in lieu of degree, 10 years of progressively responsible experience. Successful completion of the Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) Course within the last 3 years or willingness to enroll within 180 days upon onboarding. U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 security clearance with SECRET eligibility (required for FCC-related duties); or Tier 3 clearance (No Eligibility) for other functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced experience in DoD/OPM suitability adjudication. Strong understanding of interagency coordination processes within the DoD. Proven experience managing compliance programs and policy implementation at scale. Advanced data management and reporting experience.
