The Role
We’re hiring an experienced Security Manager who must hold an active California BSIS Qualified Manager license for a Private Patrol Operator (PPO). You’ll lead day-to-day branch operations, ensure regulatory compliance, build high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional client service.

What You’ll Do

  • Regulatory & Licensing: Serve as the branch’s BSIS PPO Qualified Manager of record; maintain compliance with BSIS/California requirements, incident reporting standards, and internal SOPs.

  • People Management: Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and performance-manage officers and supervisors; lead corrective action and recognition programs.
  • Client Success: Be the primary point of contact for key accounts; run QBRs/site walks, resolve issues, and scope expansions or special coverage.
  • Quality & Risk: Conduct site audits, safety checks, and after-action reviews; manage incident/IR workflows and evidence handling; drive continuous improvement.
  • Technology & Reporting: Leverage guard management software (e.g., TrackTik or similar), GPS/NFC checkpoints, and digital DAR/IR systems; produce clear, on-time reports and dashboards.
  • Budget & Staffing: Forecast labor, control OT, and maintain staffing levels to meet SLAs while protecting margins.

  • Active California BSIS Qualified Manager license for a PPO (required).
  • 3–5+ years of leadership in contract security or closely related operations (post supervision, field supervision, or branch management).
  • Strong knowledge of California labor practices for scheduling, overtime, meal/rest breaks, and field operations.
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate, and retain teams in a 24/7 environment.
  • Excellent client communication and escalation management skills.
  • Valid CA driver’s license; ability to travel between customer sites as needed.
  • Availability for after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis.

  • Prior experience as a PPO license holder/QM of record for a California branch.
  • Familiarity with TrackTik (or similar), Zoom/Teams, and digital report platforms.
  • Spanish/English bilingual.
  • BSIS Guard Card; Baton/Firearm permits if sites require (not mandatory for the Manager role).

  • Background in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
  • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying potential risks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including nights or weekends if required.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with staff at all levels. Join our team as a Security Manager where your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining a safe environment for everyone involved.
