Responsibilities
  • Maintains the highest level of personal and professional integrity and fairness while ensuring all supervisor and officer performance is conducted with the requisite level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ensures that supervisors and officers maintain an exceptional level of customer service, kindness, and compassion with regard to their interactions with LRH patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Ensures that supervisors and officers are in compliance with minimum security officer/supervisor standards while mentoring and coaching them to facilitate their exceeding minimum standards
  • Oversees the orientation of new employees, assesses the ongoing competence of all employees and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Assists the Director of Security with the generation, review, and updates of security policies, procedures, and standards of work.
  • Reviews supervisors’ and officers’ administrative work products, corrects and modifies where necessary, and ensures security administrative products are accurate, timely, and of the highest quality.
  • Assists the Director of Security with the establishment of department goals, objectives, and strategies; attends system management meetings and other system-wide meetings as the security department leadership representative in the absence of the Director of Security.
  • Continually assesses overall department performance and seeks out new and innovative ways to facilitate its improvement.
  • Responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive customer and/or staff complaints, conflicts, and allegations.
  • Assumes the overall management and oversight of the security department in the absence of the Director of Security
