About the Role: The Security role is critical in ensuring the safety and protection of people, property, and information within an organization or designated premises. This position involves monitoring and managing security systems, responding promptly to incidents, and enforcing policies to prevent unauthorized access or activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in risk assessment and mitigation, collaborating with other departments to maintain a secure environment. They will also be responsible for maintaining detailed records of security-related activities and reporting any suspicious behavior or breaches. Ultimately, this role contributes to creating a safe and secure atmosphere that supports the organization's operational goals and the well-being of all stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations. * Proven experience in a security role or related field. * Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings. * Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: * Additional certifications such as CPR, first aid, or self-defense training. * Experience with advanced security technology including CCTV, access control systems, and alarm monitoring. * Prior experience in emergency response or law enforcement. * Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. * Familiarity with federal and state security regulations and compliance standards. Responsibilities: * Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises. * Control access points by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs to prevent unauthorized entry. * Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary. * Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to security protocols and infrastructure. * Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, preparing detailed reports for management review.
