Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver - Tech in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal team member in a tech and media environment, you will be responsible for access control by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately during emergency situations. Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized entry. Monitor and address incidents or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents. Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives. Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and contractors to provide directions and uphold access control protocols. Utilize technology and access control systems to monitor and manage entry to restricted areas within the location, particularly suited to a tech, media, or telecom environment. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. At least one year of security-related experience is required. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
