As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols across terminals and surrounding areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist travelers, staff, and visitors with clear directions and professional communication. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to all visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with airport operations and/or local public agencies as directed by post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and policy violations. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site procedures. Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervision and/or the client representatives. Minimum Requirements: A guard card and/or license is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
