Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute. Responsibilities The Security Officer plays a critical role in protecting life and property of all persons on Hillcrest Medical Center premises and patrols hospital buildings and ground to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. Secures, unlocks, and protects hospital buildings. Responds to security needs of hospital personnel, patients, and visitors. This position is safety sensitive. Qualifications Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid ARMED Guard CLEET License. Valid driver's license with good driving record. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Annual CLEET requalification handgun & shotgun required by a CLEET-certified instructor. Maintains OC/Pepper Spray certification. Upholds Crisis Intervention Training from SAMA – SATORI and obtains certification within 30 days of hire. Must be able to maintain a safe environment by being physically able to; kneel while attending mandatory training classes (CPI, Gun Range and CPR) or chase suspects by foot (as needed), take control of combative suspects (as necessary), place suspects in custody if the need arises until local authorities are notified and respond to make the arrest. Preferred Job Requirements: One (1) year of relevant experience or appropriate. Experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement.
